Temperature here yesterday was 52f, Heatwave! Got a fire in the wood stove tonight, and a chance of snow tomorrow.

Re: How's the weather?
Fires, fires everywhere, but not too near to us thankfully. The bushfire season here should be over by now but we haven't had any significant rain for a couple of months. One has been burning in hills not far from us for over a week, but yesterday heat, strong winds and lightning strikes wreaked havock both here in Victoria and to the north in New South Wales. The coastal town of Tathra at last report had lost 70 houses and still raging. Send your rain down here please.

Re: How's the weather?
Living inside a pine/hardwood forest, fire scares me the most. I keep the woods picked up from dead fallen branches etc. so there is less fuel on the ground so it doesn't get up into the trees. It gets in the trees and you have lost it.
I burn off twice a year either in a rainstorm or when there is snow on the ground.
Snow, sleet, predicted for tomorrow so I will be burning off another pile about this time in the morning.

Re: How's the weather?
It’s been fairly nice around here for the past week or so. Been in the 40’s most of the week. But we’ve got snow in the forecast for tomorrow morning. Possibly up to 3”. It won’t stick around long though. It’s still the last day of winter and I’m changing out the snowy forum logo with the normal one anyway.
Re: How's the weather?
Had a few 'teaser days' over the past week couple weeks, which I managed to make good use of. Back now to cold rain and dreariness, with maybe some violent stuff tonight.
Did manage to shoot some video of a bud test-flying his Nano Talon FPV plane at Painton yesterday. Tempting little airplane.

Cool, clammy day, but he got it going, and is gonna do some FPV flying with it next.

Re: How's the weather?
We had a beautiful, slightly cool day in Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois. Would have been a great flying day, but we used it for yard work on my brother's lot over in my home town.
Still, managed to squeeze in a few flights with a weird little drone I bought a couple weeks ago. Kind of a long-standing Stricker Tradition to freak out the local population with flying machines.
Supposed to have rain and maybe snow through the rest of the weekend, but we got in a good day. Summer is Coming though!!!!

Re: How's the weather?
Hey buddy! I'm glad that you're happier! Life's too short.. to be in a funk for too long..
It's been breezy here too lately. I really hope that a consistently "mild" trend is on its way. Today and tomorrow are supposed to be very nice! It was sunny, clear and high 50'sF at 8:00 a.m.
If it get's calm enough.. I may try to spray a few coats of paint on the model-airplanes.
HAPPY Easter!
Re: How's the weather?
Last of the Winter snow........... Hopefully!
From this- 21 March
To this, same pile 31 March
Sunny, nice today. Finally gave me a chance to finish the wall I posted about last October....you do remember the wall..... Added another block to the length, parged and another load of top soil to replace what settled.

Currently 15 F outside, sitting here in my room in Grand Forks, ND! Been a great holiday down here so far, and as usual, very friendly. Even more so than back home!

Re: How's the weather?
TLAnderson, what website are you using? I checked with roughly a dozen, but none of the graphics match. Here's Weather Underground's 10 day forecast for Clovis, NM:
Doesn't show gusts, we are getting our share of wind. Precipitation gets predicted but when the day arrives, for the past 4 months it vanishes. Our region has been in an extended red no burn hazard for the past 5 months.

It's the National Weather Service website.
We're in the blizzard phase right now.

Re: How's the weather?
I like that IH Scout! Here in Northern Rhode Island, it's been a roller-coaster weather-ride. Temperatures varying as much as 40 degrees F. (above freezing) which plays havoc with Springtime perennial vegetation. My wife and I have both witnessed "pollen" on the windshields of our cars. Yesterday was sunny and mild.. high of 70F. Today it was 40F. and snowing...
