Rules: You may post *one (1) picture of an engine or a group of engines that are alike (for example: a collection of Space Bug Jr.s that feature each color tank). The engine must be a Cox engine, it can be stock or parts built. Cox engines using aftermarket or handmade parts and multi-cylinder engines are allowed as long as they feature Cox made crankcase(s) and cylinder(s). Although proof isn't required, engines that are built using aftermarket or handmade parts have to be able to run. A good example of a non-running homemade engine that wouldn't qualify for this contest is found HERE Disassembled engines are allowed as long as all parts are visible and the engine is in running condition when assembled.
If you are unsure if your picture qualifies, feel free to contact the administrator with questions.
* You may post multiple "pictures" as long as they are all joined together in one picture. (This is done in image editing software before uploading)
MAIN POINTS
•One picture
•Picture shall be of one engine or engines that are alike (a Babe Bee and a Tee Dee .049 together would NOT qualify)
•Must be a Cox Engine
•Engines using aftermarket or handmade parts must feature Cox made crankcase(s) and cylinder(s)
•Engine must be able to run
Optional Caption
Along with your picture you may include a caption that describes or explains the picture. The caption should include the name and displacement of the engine. The caption has to be short as if you picture wins, it will be posted under the picture in the sidebar. If you do not include a caption, one will be thought up for you.
After 5 days, the first 10 pictures will be moved to another topic to be voted on by other members. The winner will have their engine displayed on the sidebar of the forum and forever listed on the past winners page.
Looking forward to see what you guys come up with! Good Luck!

The Medallion .051 Ghost
Cox Medallion .051 Ghost
I was going to use this one instead, but I had the Car/boat in pieces.
Cox Medallion .051 Ghost-$9.80 Car-Boat. The rear wheels rotate to turn into propellers for water use.

I like your water cooling jacket. Cheap and to the point. Copper or brass spreads heat better than aluminum, unless that is silver plated copper. I used the same type for my electric boat.

You can have my spot if you have a really nice engine

Kari: you can have my spot if you have a really nice engine. I am trying the innovative angle. I have a third version of the Medallion .051 Ghost powered $9.80 boat-car called the Medallion .051 Ghost powered $9.80 plane-car-boat. I added the body of the $7.00 car on top and now it can fly with the Medallion .051 Ghost and the wing of the top plane-car, run as a car with the prop-wheels straight and go into the water as a boat with the wheels in the retracted position and acting as propellers, or impellers, in the water. Hence the Medallion Ghost .051 powered $9.80 + $7.00 plane-car-boat. Name revised.
Cox Medallion .051 Ghost powered $9.80 + $7.00 Plane-Car-Boat.
Rear wheels rotate to rear to become propellers for boat.
Didn't have time to clean up table for clean picture. Dinner time. Sorry.

Thanks Happydad, it's OK, there's always the next month First come, first served, I'm cool with that. Just need to have my photos ready the next time so that I don't need to burn the midnight oil browsing through my photos
Thanks again for the thought.

Hey 1/2A Nut
I'm working on two boat projects right now. First is a Veco .19, it's first because I'm finding the parts. Second, is a .049 TD project. Can you tell me where you found the parts for the TD?
Thanks
Duke

Sure the flywheel is from Dumas 1/2A running hardware kit
The prop thrust plate was removed and I used thrust bearings found for elect boats normally goes between the coupler and front of elect motors.
In my case it is parts from Ed Hughey Boats Inc. 1/8th inch coupler and thrust bearing and washers. MRP makes gear still just go to the boat hardware sites of any online shop and do word searches. I talked to Ed back in the late 80's nice guy.

Cox buggy / car muffler
soft aluminum tube coiled around the top
aluminum carb body bought from Bernie at Cox International.
