Has anyone purchased from johnr3611 on ebay? I purchased two bee type engines from him. Both arrived in a very timely manner and were well packed. He notified me when they were sent out. For the most part they were two exceptional transactions. The one thing that left me chapped where I sit was his use of the term "minty clean." From my new experience with him I think what he means with this term is "old [bleep] in a new dress." Both engines were less than what I think of as "minty clean" but had their exteriors polished to within an inch of their lives. One had a Golden Bee tank. When I opened it and handled I found that something was used to color the tank and the colorant was on my fingers. It took several harsh scrubbings to remove it.
I do not know if he is aware of the true state of his engines. And, as I stated earlier, the transactions went exceptionally smoothly. Just beware that the term "minty clean" is quite subjective.
Buyer beware,
Bob
