Wilf:

The security in the past is that we know how things turned out. Not so with the future.

"Trinity" by Leon Uris makes an interesting observation about Ireland's future and past.

It was more of an aside about those of us who tend to live in a modelling "Golden Age" long past! Nothing profound at all

Wilf:

The cartoon that you posted I thought might have been in reference to foreign shipping from the US where shippers decline to ship abroad.

Am I correct in that?

I believe he posted it because I said I would love to own a model shop where it's still 1965 and everything is still done by hand.

OK, we'll use YOUR $$$$$ to cover expences. I've better uses for mine.

EXPERIENCE tell me that your museum would be a flop.

Wilf:

I have considerable experience as a volunteer docent (tour guide) in an automotive museum where it is diffult to cover expenses even with volunteers doing most of the work.
