Wanted Cox Stuka Landing Gear Siren

Post  Sig Skyray Wed Apr 08, 2015 2:11 pm

My circa '73-'84 Cox Stuka pictured below needs one small, red landing gear siren to be complete.  Anyone have one?
Thanks. Greg
P.S. Could use a factory internal tank as well.

For you guys that collect the old cox stuff you really should look into MicroMart catalog and look into the casting stuff.

I can not imagine that the little prop can not be easily remade using old broken bits of red parts from the early planes melted into a easy to make case....Especially if you have one good part to mold from

I have one that I will give you, but like the one in the ebay ad it has the open type filler hole, not the double nipple of mine and I think yours.

It's a little grungy, but PM me if you can use it.

Cool rsv ! But yeah, mine is the double nipple type. Could this one be modified to work? If so maybe I'll take you up on that deal.

Okay, so they're actually generator props.  Very cool.  Thanks for the links. I've seen this tanks and mine is a different style.  The siren props are just a tad rich for me...  I now see a repro set on ebay for 7.99 + 3.

Greg

From the orientation of the visual gas level indicator it looks like the larger filler opening would be behind the twin nipple opening and would require an additional hole being drilled.  If that's not a problem, PM me your address and I will get it in the mail.

Or maybe you could file off the larger opening, fill it and graft in another nipple beside the existing one.
