I just bought a p 39 off ebay,When it arived it had several years of fuel stains on it. I used a household degreaser on it.It cleaned it ok but when it dried it looked like the paint had faded where the stains used to be.Is there anyway i can get rid of the faded spots. Also the prop spring would turn the prop clockwise insted or counter clockwise. I assume this is what ive heard on the forum referred to as a left handed prop ,am i correct. Thanks for any help i can get Babe Bee .049

If it was a recent buy it probably was the one I was following, complete but missing the engine cover. If so it was a good buy at $102.00, but well above the around $37.00 each that I paid for my two P-39's that needed a lot of repair.

I can't find anything that will completely remove deeply embedded fuel stains. I have gone so far as to remove the top layer with fine sand paper to no joy. Otherwise I use warm Simple Green full strength as I'm to cheap to use glow fuel. There are solvents that may do a better job, but I tend to stay away from them.

Pictures?

Got it. I was thinking Wen Mac and that's Cox. Nice looking model. I will have to find one.
