The World of Aviation Radio Show
Every so often when I listen to the radio while on my computer, I like to plug the radio into the computer and record off the radio. This way, if I miss something or want to hear something over, I can so later. Well just last night, I snapped on the radio to listen to Al Malmberg when he started to play the "World of Aviation" theme. The last time they broadcast "World of Aviation" had to be about 5 years ago. I have some recordings of the old episodes somewhere.
This is episode #1 (since it has returned). They interview Elizabeth "Liz" Strohfus, a WASP pilot (Women Airforce Service Pilot) in WWII.
It's an interesting program. I'm sure many of you guys will enjoy this.

I have the full 3 hour recording if anyone is interested. The 2nd hour is basically callers calling in and discussing different things relating to the subject and the 3rd hour is "Full Contact Trivia" where he gets 2 "main players" and a bunch of "side players" to call in and they play a trivia game.

Re: The World of Aviation Radio Show
Here's episode #3. Al Malmberg replays a 2007 World of Aviation interview with WWII Marine Corpsman Chris Christenson (who passed almost a year ago). This is a really good one!

That is some very good radio! What a story, what a pilot. I'll never look at an episode of "Flipper " again with out thinking of his experience. Thanks for sharing.

Episode #6 featuring Ky Michaelson (aka: The Rocketman).
Last week, they played the show a day before they usually do so I missed recording it. This time, I recorded it but accidentally closed the program I used to record it before saving

Been a little behind at uploading these. It takes time to extract them from the full recording, save as an individual file and then upload them. I'll get this Friday's up within a day or so after it airs.

*Note for now: skip in 15 minutes for the start of World of Aviation. I uploaded the uncut recording by accident. I uploaded just the World of Aviation episode but it takes a good hour before it fully loads on the site.

Re: The World of Aviation Radio Show
Archive.org must be having issues with uploading. Been loosing connection while trying to upload last weeks show several times in the past few days. Doesn't appear to be anything on my end. Anyway, stay tuned as I'll get last weeks and this weeks shows up soon (hopefully).
Re: The World of Aviation Radio Show
At last, I got one uploaded! Here is episode 11 featuring World of Aviation favorite, Spook Johns as he returns to the program to tell some of his best stories to Al and the listening audience.

Re: The World of Aviation Radio Show
I finally found a way to display the podcast feed to World of Aviation. The feed is not formatted/coded the same way as traditional podcast feeds so none of the display scripts I was using was working.
You can find the link to World of Aviation at the bottom of the forum page.

Well, it looks like the podcast display only works on this browser (Firefox) LOL. Back to the drawing board.
Re: The World of Aviation Radio Show
