As our discussion is off-topic, I'm creating a separate thread to continue this discussion.balogh wrote:The needle valve and seat may have developed some corrosion bulging the components thus the same fuel flow is now metered with a valve open wider than before...

I would have to agree with that as I'm probably one of the worst offenders. As a amateur (very) photographer I enjoy trying to theme a photo while keeping the focus (pun intended) on the engine. Bit boring and sterile having an engine sitting on a white table cloth but I'm happy to go with whatever is decided.

Fixed! (Bandit)Admin wrote:1/2A Nut and TDbandit you're going to need to choose one engine from your pictures. 1/2A Nut, you have a Medallion, Tee Dee and Tee Dee .09 R/C. They're all .09s but they're all different models. TDbandit, they're both .049s and Bee type engines but they're different models.

Space Bug Jr Marine
I hope I'm not too late. This .049 is about a 1955 Space Bug Jr that was supplied in an Enterprise Model Supply boat kit. I can't find the ad, I think it would be in a 1955 Air Trails. I don't know if Cox supplied the flywheel and universal nut (the universal was a piece of neoprene tubing that pushed over the splines on the nut) or if Enterprise had them made. I don't think Cox sold this engine configuration separately or used it in any Cox products; the Water Wizard was an airboat. I think most of the kit supplied engines had the blue tank, but I don't know that for sure either.
Once it is warmer, I'll dig into my garage attic and see if I can find the ad.

Its a Dumas 1/2A flywheel and the nut is a original solution prior to them making a brass coupler.
Yea did out the advert I would like to see the whole set up!

Here you go!
Had one of these a while ago with the original label. Moved ot on to someone who needed it and I'm sure it was genuine Thimble Drome rather than Dumas.

Looking forward to see what you guys come up with! Good Luck!
The first post on page one pretty much explains it.

Sure, the only timeline stated here is the 5 days after which the pictures are relocated to another topic, but as far as the voting period on this new topic thread is concerned, I am still not sure how long it is....
