I saw the picture of the Akromaster on the "Anybody get anything cool for Christmas" thread.  My son and I dug an Akromaster kit out of the closet Saturday afternoon to build for a night fly New Year's Eve.  This is what we have so far. You might have noticed, I'm going electric to keep the noise down  at night and I needed something to power the nights anyways. My son will put a little paint on the fuse in the morning and I'll mount the motor and the rest of the lights and electronics after work.

Cool shoes, Dude!  That looks like it will be a fun plane to fly.  Are you going to do a build thread on your electric setup?

I talked to the wife about midnight flying on new Year's Eve, but no go.  She didn't say no, but I got the, "Do whatever you want" answer.  We all know what that means...

Hope Y'all have fun out at Delta Park.

Hey Mark
I'm not sure if we are doing anything at Delta Park. We have been asking about it on Flyinglines for a few days and Mark H. hasn't gotten back to us. Mark H. talked about movingthe date around the Rose Bowl. I think for New Year's Eve, I'll stay close to home and fly at our RC field. I have a Slow Stick with lights also.

I can list my set up and a small build thread if you like. Give me a day or two, I need to put the finishing touches on the Akromaster and a new motor on the Slow Stick. The lights are very easy if you can solder very small wires. The power comes for an already build/store boought plg adapter that steals the power from the battery. The only thing that muddies the waters would be if you want the lights to come on and off while flying.

Are you going to make the trip to Delta Park New Year's day? If they have it. I know Mark H. wants me there, I won the chili cook off last year and I'm suppose to be there to defend my title.

You out there Mark H.?
