Cox Engine of The Month
I had a dream last night

I had a dream last night
Weird dream, but all my dreams are weird.
I wandered into a hobby shop, couple of female employees over in the corner, laughing not paying me any attention so I looked around. Counters everywhere and on one was this giant tube of Ambroid standing vertically. Not new and smooth but slightly crumpled. About 2 feet tall. Aggravated me because someone had left the cap off leaving it to dry out and go to waste.
But, what really gathered my attention were the walls, all were covered by plastic display cases in various sizes hung in no particular order. No complete model airplanes anywhere, just parts of Cox models. One containing wings, another engines, others tail sections. But the one that intrigued me the most was a long case containing just fuselages one stacked upon the other. Like a kid in a candy store. Didn't end well when I realized that I only had a couple of bucks in my pocket. Story of my life.
I have never had a dream about model railroads that I can recall, but the dream may have been stimulated by a display case for a model train that I found yesterday and want to put this newly won (last night) engine into. Whomever put that locomotive in the case had a sense of humor.
Sellers photos
Think it went cheap, think again. 34 watchers and 21 bids.
Under all that goo is a 30's/40's Super Varney with a rare 7 pole motor and drive train. I have two options, spray it with clear and stick it in a display case, or tear it down and restore. Guess you know what my intent is.

The "chauffeur" will have to climb over the tender to get the coal!!
I guess you started already taking it apart! Is that brass and cast aluminium?
