Hey Ben, all I know is how my CL planes fly, and it feels faster than it really is. But my best performers aerodynamically are between 5 and 9 ounces, 100-150 sq" wing area.

For a fast R/C plane I try to keep it at or slightly under 200" and 14 ounces or less. Of course, 150" and 10 ounces is a much better performer. It all depends on how fast your eyes and fingers are and how well they play together.

Good luck,

Bob

Well I can fly a fms 800mm hellcalt and it like a bat but I can put it were I want it. I was thinking of just building the spad xjet built or buying a rtf plane that I could stick the engine on.

As far as looks go if its speed or scale I would be happy. I just saw a ugly stick and planes like it and i would like to try to mimick it,
