I got 6 sheets of Testors clear waterslide decal paper for inkjet printers. $12 bucks. With Microsoft Word you can get a lot of images on one sheet. I printed some for my Yak last night. You can seal it with Testors sealing spray, Krylon crystal clear or Lustrekote clear. I'm going to give mine a few light dustings of Lustrekote today.
I'll edge it with clear topcoat fingernail polish. Since they'll already be covered with Lustrekote, they'll be safe from fuel and cleaning with alcohol.

Haha, nah, smiley faces and sunshine, but the Yak is Russian, so the Cold War Empire of Evil theme seems appropriate.getback wrote: .. man those are bad as.. prints is that what goes on in your head when your flying ?
I'll let you know what happens when I hit them with Lustrekote, so don't rush out to Hobby Lobby yet.

Re: decal glue !
I'm trying clear full-sheet laser-jet shipping labels in a matt-finish. My wife (God bless her..) used PIXLR (webpage) to remove the background around the images. I figured that using laser print on a matt finish, the colors would be more resistant to running and they might take a clear topcoat better.
Cutting tiny little decals out of a sheet takes a bit of time and requires good sharp scissors or razor knife. Try to find some good pointed tweezers for applying the decals, and keep your work area clean!

Someone needs to make the distiction between a DECAL and a STICKER so it might as well be me.
A DECAL is applied after soaking in water. A STICKER does not as it's self-adhesive. Both usually are top-coated in order to proect them for any length of time especially if nitro fuel is involved.
