Never heard of it. Looks like it would scoot!
Zaunkönig sure is a round about way to say "Wren"
Your model looks great and I hope it flies well for you.

Very nice looking plane. Did you buy a kit or are you scratch building it?

Hello,
Yes I know this plane. Made by Simprop.
Never had one but it seems to me that this plane is very fast.
Not for people with heart failure...
I hope to see it ready for flight, fully finished.

Hello,
Thanks for the feetback
You can see it in the picture. So it was like a kit but made by me.
I think i will make another thread if the plane is finished...

Yes, of course.. Its a very crazy plane...but it seems to me that this plane is very fast.
Yes and No... I took a picture of the original plan from the Internet and convert it into dxf files so that my CNC Mill can work for meDid you buy a kit or are you scratch building it?

Re: Does somebody knows the Cox Zaunkönig?
Nice to have a machine! Do you use a vacuum table/pump to hold the balsa sheet from moving? I used to make parts like this on a large Gerber CNC router. I put masking (sticky) paper on the back of the sheet, and cut down to the paper.. but not through it. I set/initialize "Z" axis to the table.. and set tool-depth about .002" to .003" above the table. The parts "peel-off" the paper afterwards, and don't need much sanding.
If you don't have a vacuum table, you can easily make a sealed/air-tight box of size you need.. maybe 6"W x 48"L x 4"H to hold a standard 3" x 36" balsa sheet. Face top (use thin 2-sided film tape) with 6mil ABS sheet, mill-flat w/fly-cutter and make a grid of 3/4" i.d. pockets spaced about 1" apart with 3/16" thru-holes on center of pockets.
This is CNC router machine with vacuum table like the one I used.

Hello,
No. I only hold the Balsa sheets with some thumbtack(Reißzwecke) in place, but that works great as well if the wood isnt bent.
But your idea is great as well
