Holiday Flying!!!!!!!!!
Anyone have plans to fly over the holidays???????????
Just a shameless plug for a local event.
If anyone is in the area, traveling for the holidays or lives any where close. We are having a New Years Eve midnight fly and a New Years Day Chili cook off and fun fly.
Here's the Info.

Hope to see at least 'Portland Mark", Joe, Richard, and as many as we can get.

Re: Holiday Flying!!!!!!!!!
Nothing wrong with that!
However, since you ARE more than just a couple miles away, I shall endeavor to launch SOME sort of "Mighty Vehicle of the Air" as a Salute to my pals in the Great Northwest !!!

Yeah I noticed that! If I had known that was all it took to steal a kiss I would have built planes much sooner in life.

It was a very Blessed Holiday Moment !!
I was gradually phasing out my Tradition Run to Illinois for Mistletoe, but recent events have caused me to change my mind !!

I'll probably take the Baby Streaks over to the church one day after Christmas. I can get some Cox engine contest time logged for the last time this year. My son had expressed interest in flying the Shoestring, so we might take the ol' girl off the hanger in the hangar and head out to Fort Jackson.

If the weather cooperates, I may try to make it a "Lead Sled New Years Day" with a couple Wen Mac Aracobras.

Lol, that top pic is a good shot. At first glance I thought it was a real airship with a model cylinder photoshopped onto it.

Sorry, Duke. I gotta work. Intel runs 24/365, so I don't get New Year's off this year.

Yep, but my faithful old Sportster took me everywhere I wanted to go, and always brought me home.
I rode it long enough to see them made fun of, and watched as they mysteriously became "cool" again.
Another "This Year Goal" is to get the old dog going again so it's cruel suspension can remind me what a sissy I've become !

Could be worse, you could have a hardtail and a springer front end!

Re: Holiday Flying!!!!!!!!!
We played a bike run a few years ago, and I liked this bike. Turned out that a girl was riding it. (tall redhead... sorry no pics of her) just try to imagine the black leather chaps, jacket, gloves... and all that long red hair tucked up inside her helmet.

My holiday flying consisted of taking my future father in law control line flying for the First time in 30 years.
