Swap meet finds!!!!

Swap meet finds!!!!
Well, my boys and I took the hour drive to the swap meet. Turned out well. Saw some friends and found a few good deals.
First. A new stunt plane, it's a Forerunner. A little hangar rash, but not bad. Should be able to practice without worrying about crashing.
A new Ted Francher hard point handle kit.
Another .049, needed the backplate and stunt tank. Maybe it will be a start to my new CEF speed engine.
And my prize for the day! Something I didn't have yet. An Cox .074 Queen Bee!!! There were three there, two new in box (didn't have enough money with me) and one new no box. Don't know what they are worth for sure, but I didn't have to pay ebay prices. Now I need to build a plane to put it in.

Phil is right. It has had an OS 40FP and OS 46LA in it in the past. I'll likely put an OS 40FP or Tower Hobbies 40 in it. I have several FP's and a couple T40's from my carrier planes. I'm talking to guys on Stunthangar about the right ventri and NVA. I don't like the OS NVA's, the springs don't hold the setting very well and they break at the spring. I'll get the Super Tiger NVA, and need to figure out the I.D. of the ventri from the SH guys. Unless anyone here knows and would like to help. I'll be entering Beginner PA against my sons next year. They flew last year and did very well. I have a .25 size stunter to practice the whole pattern and then move to the Forerunner.Mark Boesen wrote:ditto, nice looking proflie, what are you gonna power it with?

Anyone have a good plane for this beauty. I'm thinking of a top wing cub, champ RC type trainer. Or something easy to learn to fly RC on.

Re: Swap meet finds!!!!
I can't remember for sure, i think they run .265 (6.8mm) to somewhere around.290, venturi size is like nitro or caster content...a subject for a big debate. I'd start small as the smaller venturi is usually easier to dial in, but you'll get a lot more power with a .285 (7mm)
There's a ton of FP40/LA46 info on Stuka Stunt, with most going for a less 2-4-2 run, using a large diameter low pitch prop, something like a 12.25 x 3.75 APC or 11.5 x 4 APC or 11-4 APC, should get you there.

Aerocraft LTD produced their Snapper Twin Boom R/C for the Queen Bee, however, they have a new version called the Snapper II that I believe is more geared toward EP.duke.johnson wrote:Anyone have a good plane for this beauty. Thanks Steve. I checked the website and like the plane. I messaged them to see if they still make the gas version. Is it a trainer though?
Keep them coming guys.

Check out these "Herr Engineering" (Sig) trainers Duke... There's also a nice J-3 in the "scale" section. They're all for .049-.061 size engines.
