Belleville Swap Meet Finds

Here's what I picked up at the swap meet. Didn't see Kim for some reason, but seen 4 guys that looked related

Seems like this is swap weekend. I too did well I think. No engines but a lot of other nice bits and pieces. Good score Man!

What's the plane --- it looks a lot like a Pacer or Mach None, but it doesn't have a dorsal fin.

That was a freebie that came with the 09. Turns freely, just put a prop and glow plug and it's good to go

That's a great looking free flight. I like the eyedropper tank --- pretty typical for controlling run times. Couldn't tell exactly, does it have a dethermalizer? Timer or fuse?

I think it has a dethermalizer. There was another one there too and he explained to me how it worked.

The builder did an excellent job on it. It's been trimmed and set up with enough skill to make me jealous. I WOULD like to stick a radio and single servo in it...but hate to mess with it !

Sorry Andrew, didn't catch your whole post. It's got a snuffer tube for a fuse dethermalizer.

They are fun.
I'm strongly tempted Indra. It's just that it can be difficult to find enough usable space to fly these little suckers. The radio would be purely for keeping it in the general area of it's launch. I had PLENTY of panicked airplane chasing time back in my escapement days !!!

Have you used a true FF model as in not failed radio because they ted to be forgiving and you say he trimmed it? You mean like trimmed to fly in a pattern?
If it is that case you could ring him and ask how he trimmed it to fly that will give you an idea of how much space you need.
Also just try a 10 second engine run at first.

It's got carefully-place shims under the wing trailing edge/saddle, and little lock-blocks to hold the wing in alignment. Obviously lovingly made, and not hobbled together.

A "Flip Up Tail" for bring it back to it's owner! Also...forgot to mention...the builder/flyer had glue a piece of triangle stock to the rudder for trim.

OK, since we are on topic I also went to a swap meet yesterday. I was hoping to find some Cox and other small engines. No luck but did score bigger engines. I spent $125.00+or minus. Got two real good LA .40's RC , three OS .25's FP/LA series and the best was new in box OS Max .61 SF ABC. All the used ones were in good shape as I am very fussy about engines. The new .61 I most likely keep and one of other engines. Rest either resell or trade. Swap meets are allways fun.
