It shouldn't stay in any one place longer than two weeks without regular updates explaining why it's delayed. The Traveling Prop got stuck for months at a time in a couple of places and it really dampens the fun of the whole thing. Let's please keep it moving.

Right-O! I'll get it moving on. The engine is a jewel, after being a paperweight! I will check the list, and give the next member a shout. Fun stuff!

I went ahead and put the Traveling Engine on the big Corsair before I fly it on the speed model. This plane was way underpowered with a reed valve, let's see how a Tee Dee livens things up! Perfect 75 degree flying day here, will take video and post it later tonite.

Short pants! Palm Trees! No Fair! Thanks, JP great flight.
Did you screw a bored venturi onto it or just use the stocker? Thanks for flying it, that just makes the whole thing so much fun. There aren't many .049s that would pull that Corsair like that. How many flights did you put up? I wish I'd put more flights up with it while I had the chance. I give you a big ol' Bravo and a greenie for that!

Way To Go Jim !! Looked like it was fling pretty darn good to me with a experienced pilot at the controls . The engine sounded really good she was singing a note I would say . Rusty I was thinking the same thing about 75 degrees and palm trees/ but I couldn't take the heat in the summer . Hot   Cant wait for the speed plane video bounce bounce  Eric Snowman

Rusty,
I made five or six flights with the stock venturi. I'll put it on a couple more planes and get it in the mail by next weekend.
Don't make plans to move here until you've visited in July!

Ron,
The corsair weighs in at 8.4oz. with less wing area than a baby clown and no airfoil. You can't tell in the video but it mushes through the last 1/4 of a loop pretty badly. It sure looks cool flying right off the deck though! When the traveling engine comes off it's getting a norvel, or my tee dee .09 that needs a home. Devil

Flew the Traveling Engine in the Baby Clown/Shturmovik today:

I was going to fly the Traveling Engine on my speed corsair with a hand launch.  I thought it best to try that with my own Tee Dee first. Good idea:

That TE just screams. Fancy flying and a good looking airplane. I'm new to bladder pressure fuel tanks, but I noticed that it still surged at the end, is that normal as it runs out of pressure/fuel?

It's all fine, it rained all week here so it stuck in the dirt like a lawn dart. The cox push on spinner was stuck about 2 inches deep and had to be dug out!

A bladder normally gives a consistent run until the end. It richens up at the end, as the tubing shrinks the walls thicken up and put more pressure on the fuel. This is an old bladder that has lost some elasticity so it loses pressure at the very end of the run and goes lean.

Haha, yeah I expect y'all get some radically quick changes in the weather out there. I shouldn't complain about the SC weather. Compared to winters in other places, we have it pretty mild. We're just thin skinned when the temps drop. I can tell where the grass is artificially watered in that picture too. I do enjoy the lush green we get here in the warm months. I've always found the Southwest fascinating and wanted to vacation and tour the geological attractions, indian ruins, and see the big Rocky mountains. I got a taste of it on tour during a 4 day business trip to Vegas back in 1982 or so. I think New Mexico might be a good destination too. I wouldn't mind getting the nickle tour of the Los Alamos facility.
