Here's the flight.
https://youtu.be/L02BGGH6S4Y
This is the most difficult flight I've ever flown with the Li'l Satan, I really had to work for it.
I'll file a complete report in the morning.

Re: Follow The Traveling Engine!
Yeah there is that, but this thing was hunting so bad as the engine went in and out, I couldn't fly it level most of the time. I added a thinned Bee gasket to get the engine to tighten with the cylinder pointed up. I wonder if it wasn't leaking air there. Oh well, I got 'er done, and it'll be on to Microflitedude.Cribbs74 wrote:No more slow stunt plane lumbering along....

Not bad considering that run. Sometimes they just don't play nice.... Usually when filming something important.
It was good to see it being used properly. Thanks Rusty!

Re: Follow The Traveling Engine!
Thanks guys. If I'm energetic after the church clears out today, and I've had time to tinker, I will put another one up. I put a full ounce in it because I wanted to show that plane screaming back and forth, up and over doing tricks, etc. It was all I could do to keep it in the air yesterday, just hanging on and reacting. If I don't get to it, that'll be fine, but I really want to knock down one of those ten minute wowzers.

Re: Follow The Traveling Engine!
The Traveling Engine is now in the hands of Microflitedude Matt.
I put a Cox Engine Forum logo decal I made inside the accessory box and also stuck one on the cover of the log book. Someone earlier had put a Jimi Hendrix sticker on the outside of the mailing box. I cut it out and put it also inside the acc box with the CEF decal so it wouldn't get lost. We'll see what sort of collection we get when it makes its run around the world.
I enjoyed it. Sorry I took so long with it, but I hope I made it worth your while.

Re: Follow The Traveling Engine!
I figured that was your Jimi picture. He's one of my all time favorite Bluesmen too... Acid Blues Lol.
I love showing off. I was really disappointed in my lame Traveling Engine flight, but them's the breaks.
It's about time for a new song. Early BOC, the first three albums plus the live one, are my all time favorite Rock band. After those, meh, hit and miss, commercial pressure.
Thanks for posting in the Cox Family Photo Album too.

Re: Follow The Traveling Engine!
Hey guys.
I've got the engine sitting on my desk now. I won't be running it because I've run out of time (pardon the pun) and because my neighborhood is not very Cox conducive. I had thought about mounting it on my Lil Swamp Buggy but decided it would take way too long start to finish. I'll take a few pictures of it, maybe next to a local landmark, and then pass it on.
Who is next in line?

Re: Follow The Traveling Engine!
Bullit132 and then G.O. Stang.
I haven't seen much from either of those two so be sure to get confirmation.
Surely you can run it in the daytime?

Hey Matt, any action on the Traveling Engine?
Be sure and check with Jacob before deciding who gets it next.

Ron said Bullit132 was next in line, so I sent him a PM on 6/26/14 asking if he was still up for it. The message is still in my outbox so he hasn't read it yet.

Re: Follow The Traveling Engine!
Jacob, can you give me the username of the person you would like me to send the engine to? No response from Bullit yet.
Re: Follow The Traveling Engine!
Sure, you can just skip Bullit132. I'll get you G.O. Stang's email address. See if he is still up for it.
