Does it run? If yes please send video. A running twin would be worth considerably more than the paperweight version.

Hi Chris
I had forgotten about that thread. It was a remarkable piece of work. Collectors can be unpredictable, but with the engraved display stand and a video/documentary CD-ROM to accompany it, I think eBay collectors could pay enough to recoup your hardware and development costs. I was about to toss out a wild guess of a few hundred dollars, but since I have no collectors' wits, I'll defer to our Cox Engine Forum collectors to chime in on the value.

Very thanks for your opinion, but i wainting more opinion.
But if the price is $100 max, I could not make it, there are too many working hours.

Re: Value of my " twin bee" engine
Try a completed auction search under advanced search on ebay.
The prices are all over the place. You need to make sure the auction you look at is a sold item vs unsold.

That's awesome. This is an example of the whole being more than the sum of its parts. If it were me I would eBay it with an opening bid of $199. and see what happens.

Re: Value of my " twin bee" engine
I would do what Rusty suggests, make a documentary CD-R with all the building pictures and documents. Maybe even create a certificate of authenticity to include with it. Then list it on eBay with a video of it posted in the listing. Have a starting bid or reserve of what makes you happy, start high and see what happens. Don't list it for something that you would not be comfortable selling it for. It is a very cool one of a kind handmade engine with great craftsmanship that actually runs.
Re: Value of my " twin bee" engine
I thank you, but it is not this engine that I sell.I wanted to manufacture a (or few) new engine and to sell it,But as the prices are very low, I am not going to make it.
I cannot buy all the new parts if I am not certain to be able to sell the engine has a good price.
regards

Nice work Chris, I didn't see your other thread about the engine's construction before you mentioned it here. That video helps to appreciate the work you put into it. Did you ever mount it onto a plane and flew it?

I knew what you meant, I probably should have said "if you do make another, list it on eBay with a video..."chris74100 wrote:I thank you, but it is not this engine that I sell.I wanted to manufacture a (or few) new engine and to sell it,But as the prices are very low, I am not going to make it.

I would bet you would get at least $200 for it. It looks like you already have some preorders coming in!

Re: Value of my " twin bee" engine
If you do the machining steps on a batch, say 5, the setup time, and therefore the labor will be reduced. You can buy the stock parts for the remaining cases after the first one sells.chris74100 wrote:Ok, very thanks for your answers.I making a new engine and it sell on "ebay"
Just a thought.
