It was a great day for flying, slightly overcast, so no Sun in the eyes and not much breeze at all. We balanced one of Bullit's self designs, a beautiful sleek red plane with a Foose decal and a really nice Tee Dee .051. It was an amazingly well behaved flyer. He flew it very well for most of a tank of gas. It must've been about to run dry when the roller coaster succombed to first flight dizziness. I hope it can be fixed or reproduced. His Li'l Wizard flew well too with a Killer Bee, but was a little too slow with our chosen prop for Bullit to successfully do the backstep dance, and it was a short flight, but totally unscathed, so it will fly again soon.

Since the breeze was low, I flew the Li'l Satan for the first time in months. Boy, I'd forgotten what a badass plane that little 5oz beast is with the Tee Dee .049. I was turning some mean laps and put an ounce and a quarter in the bladder for a long flight. I was about to claim it as Cox contest time till I remembered it wasn't the registered .051 engine. That's a fun little plane.

All in all, a great birthday flying experience, I think.

Rusty
