Crunched down some video of my GoPro Camera's first flight aboard the Bird of Time.  Got Bernie's "Three Amigos" dragging the big sailplane around the sky while I fiddle with the servo position of the camera.

I've since swapped out the "Board of Engines" with the B.O.T.'s regular Medallion .15, and hope to shoot some footage out around the area where I live.

Very nice video! Once again I love that BOT! I'm thinking of building one with the motor, and spoiler mods for ALES Glider contests.

Great vid, Kim. The old BOT really hauls the mail --- it looked like it gained altitude pretty quickly with the three horses pulling together.

Thanks Andrew!

I wasn't sure HOW it would climb when I first tried it with three RR-1's, but it does move out pretty smartly. I took a lesson from the fellow with the Eight-TD .010 Hercules and always try to make sure I got good altitude when the engines start croaking.

Gonna try some good old-fashioned thermal flying next and let all this Frankenstein experimenting ride for a bit. I DO have to wonder though, if a good-cranking .09 would make this big dog climb out...

Three reedies with no spring starter! The video I want to see is you hand flipping them and trying to get them all spinning the proper direction at the same time!

You know how it is with those folks that work at airports -- lots of ingenuity, lots of machine tools, lots of fiddly parts laying around.  I'll bet Kim has a three cone adapter that attaches to a Sullivan Hornet starter.  Prime all three engines, counter-rotate each to ease starting, attach the starter, hit the button and ......

I used my Hornet Starter to get them going, and will probably use it on future flights with "The Board" even if the engines have spring starters. The center propeller's blades overlap the outboard ones, so it would be a bit dicey getting in there to start the last one.
