lol, heck I'd even paint mine green, no charge!
I would like to have/had a green ('64-'66) Stuka, but it this point prolly won't try to hard to get one.

Oooo, sharp, Mark. Good one! Mine is less pristine, but still a good one. Yours looks like a mint example.

Thanks, it was a basketcase, I had to find a second 'basket' so I could put it together. I made the decals myself, they're slightly smaller, then original and needle is from '62-'64(?) period.

is your stuka for sale and also i see what looks like the tail of a wen mac p38 lightning if you would sell that one i would also be very interested.got your meesage to make you a offer is that on the stuka or the p38 if that is a p38 can i see a photo of it and i only use pay pal to so that would work.if you wanted i would be interested in both.the stuka looks like a 1964 era the landing gear looks to be molded is that correct.also is it original or does it have any reproduction parts.

Like Joe was saying this subject has been brought up many times. There's several ways to clean a gunked up old plane and not one is significantly better: soap and water, Windex, brake fluid, Dawn Power Dissolver, etc., etc., everybody's got their favorite.
The point I'd like to make is don't over polish, you want the plane to look like new, not like its been polished to a high luster. After the crap if off the plastic, some light elbow grease and a soft clean terry cloth will buff up the plastic just fine without using a polish. Like wise you're better off using a scrub brite or 3m pad to clean up cases and heads to recreate the factory machined look as opposed to the 'chrome' look

Re: cox stuka control line wanted
i would be a buyer what do you want as a finder fee.also do you know what color it is and if the landing gear is fixed or bolt on and last is the motor side mounted or top mounted.that would make a difference in what i would be willing to pay.any stuka new in box is worth 250 but some can be worth much more.thanks.WingingIt74 wrote:I know where there is a Stuka for sale. No, don't have one for sale
A friend of mine with parents having deeper pockets, bought their son a Stuka. I think it was green, but, hey, that was 50 years ago!
I flew it for him and recall that I was able to do a loop with it.
I figured it was too heavy to try anything more adventurous.
I remember that it was noisier than the other balsa models we flew at the time, probably because of the hard plastic construction.
But it looked pretty neat all things considered.
Who knew that it would be valuable so many years later?
So, I'll leave out the story about the 1962 Stratocaster that was floating around at about the same time.....

Re: cox stuka control line wanted
did you ever have any luck getting the new in the box stuka for 250 if so let me know.i would be a buyer at 350 if it is a side mounted engine with removable landing gear.if the motor is up right mounted i would pay 400.if it is a older model with fixed landing gear i would also pay in the four hundred range and last if it turns out to be green.i would pay around 600.i am also looking for wen mac and testors p38 lightnings and willing to pay top dollar for the right ones.also cox helldivers and spitfires.WingingIt74 wrote:I know where there is a Stuka for sale.
