Cox Conquest .15
Is there a Cox Conquest .15 that doesn't say 'Conquest' on it. Just says 15 on each side?

Duke, the Conquest .15's that I recall don't say Conquest on them but they have Cox.15 in raised letter on the cast case. The other .15 that you may be making reference to is the RJL Industry .15. That would Randy from Mecoa who produced those .15's quite some time ago in a iron piston and also ABC version. He's made claims of doing more but only when he gets some time to do so. One of our competitors in clown racing uses the RJL .15, but it does have RJL .15 on the case. Ken

Re: Cox Conquest .15
These engines are simply great, and are the best cox engines I have. I recently tached my RC Conquest on a 8x4 APC prop (and the RC-head with regular glow plug). With the stock muffler it makes about 16600rpm, on 10% nitro. Most other .15 engines (e.g. the Magnum .15XLS) will only manage around 15000rpm on the same prop, seems rather lame in comparison...

Yes they are awsome. I have the Tiapan .15, which uses some of the same parts and I've been told basicly the same engine. I run mine on a 7x3 and 20-25% for combat and 7x4 and 30% for carrier contests. I just picked up another lst night on e-bay.

Yes, both the Rossi and Taipan came out before the Conquest I believe and they "borrowed" several design ideas when making the conquest. For instance the full crank web with inserted counter weights rather than a cut semicircle (this helps to increase the crankcase pressure). I'm still a little surprised though at how well it handles the larger props (when using the RC head and a few extra shims).

Re: Cox Conquest .15
Re the original post, my iron piston RJL version has RJL C15 stamped on the left side and Made in USA on the other.
Did Cox or anyone else make a tuned pipe exhaust flange for the Conquest? I've never seen one.
As for full circle crank webs with added weights, K&B did this with their 6.5cc.

If you have the offset muffler, I might have one to trade.

Well not all parts, the ABC set is not made anymore...
There is a header to go with the straight pipe, and they also made a little racing muffler.

Re: Cox Conquest .15
Kris, yours is only the second K&B made Cox conquest I've seen.
As for getting parts from RJL/MECOA, when it says, "good," that means you can get it eventually. "In progress" means you'll die waiting."
Good to see that MAC makes headers! They didn't last time I looked, about fifteen years ago. I do not want to sell or trade my offset muffler. Maybe the complete engine, but not the muffler alone.
