The Conquest is the best production engine Cox ever produced! It pulls my Sig Wonder around well over 100 mph at full tilt boogie.

I believe alot of engines from the 70's used perry carbs. Definitely a unique Cox engine for sure. I've seen line control versions of this engine with a metal venturi instead of the perry carb.

Real nice, Geist Flieger, you don't see very many Conquests either past or present, and especially to power a Sig Cold War era aircraft. You did a nice job with Down Under colours. A Wonder even with a mild .09 is still a handful.
I was given a Wonder by a modeler getting out of the hobby. He put a Thunder Tiger Magnum .25GP Schneurle in it. I downscoped it to milder Enya .15-III TV. At 64 I don't have the lightning reflexes of someone younger.

Boy I bet that thing is a rocket! I almost used a os fp 25 but I was afraid it maybe a lil hard on the wing! Sweet looking wonder by the way!

I chose the Aussie scheme because I purchased the kit and the unused Conquest from Steve Adams (Select Hobbies) who purchased the engine new back in the late 70's, and who is originally from Austrillia so I finished the airplane scheme in his honor.

I built my SIG Wonder around a TD09 with RC carb and it flies very well with this relatively small engine... Pictured here with another TD09 powered bird of mine, the Cosmic Wind

Very nice set of planes! You have done a great job at building them! Building is a lost art except for our small community.

Thank you..l sort of envy those of CEF who could involve their kids in building and flying COX or any other IC engine powered models and hand the hobby down for the next generation...otherwise who will take care of those millions of COX engines still alive around the world and waiting for duty? I have 60+ COX engines and these critters are too durable for me to retire and use all of them next in line during my life

I have 3 boys, 2 are musicians but my youngest is the only 1 who likes airplanes. Wow you have alot of engines! Things were built to last back in the day but now we live in a disposable society were everything is cheaply made.

I am just a humble collector..others here have a real wealth of these gems. I totally agree the consumer society has compromised quality. And even if during the heyday COX engines were priced for easy/cheap replacement they were built to last...

I am one of the few dissatisfied NV users but this is not to disagree with you. Mine is from a production run where the QC manager was absent or under influence of organic solvents (vodka)

Nice job on both aircraft; I particularly like the lightweight looking Blue Angels theme on the Wonder.
