Re: Advice Please
.015" of end play is good. If you have too much more than that, add a drive plate spacer. Too little can bind when the engine gets hot.ebeneezer wrote:Yes I ordered a fueltank gasket by mistake. One more thing, how much clearance should you have between the end of the crankcase and the drive plate, I seem to have rather a lot? would it be worth shimming out to reduce the play.

Re: Advice Please
I've got 8 thou, I thought it looked like more. One more question, My Cox glo clip is a bit out of shape for my 010. What is the best thing to use, and can I make something?
Cheers

Try crocodile clips
Sometimes known as aligator clips. They come in a variety of sizes.

Yo Ebz
I'm sure your Cox clip is fine, even if it's a little mangled take a pair of pliers and straighten it.
If you look below at pic 1 you'll see how it sits
And
At pic 2 look just by the pen nib you'll see another tiny cut away where the 010 pole clips
at lot of peole don't know it's there.

Re: Advice Please
I should add I never knew about the second clip cut away until v recently and it makes a huge difference.
On a slightly different (but the same) subject.....
Guess who went to Maplin's this Morning.......?
Ian's right they'd be fab as well, this is their smallest and cost 79p but you'd need the next size up for the
negative lead to clip on the cylinder.
