Don't be shy!

Don't be shy!
Get out and meet people, join a club, make your interests known. I think it was SuperDave who first suggested it and I found it to be very true. I have made more friends and aquired more free engines/parts than I ever thought possible just by shaking hands and letting people know what I like.
The friendships are the real benefit for sure, but it also opens up doors that would otherwise have remained closed.
Hands down and bar none this is one of the most generous and helpful hobbies that I have ever been involved with and the people involved are wonderful. On the flipside be sure pay it forward to continue the circle.
Anyway, just felt like saying that. Have a good one.

Re: Don't be shy!
I've found the same to be true. I just joined my first club this fall, and have really enjoyed the people involved.

Ditto
I have found the same to be true. Great people. For the most part.
