Thrust calculator
i use this when making props. while in air testing proves the final outcome, it did help me to optimize performance on my largest Free Flight model.

Re: Thrust calculator
That is right on time for me! My mission today is to test different props with my Baby Streak/Norvel .061. I've been getting a head-full of advice from Ken Cook about prop pitch vs diameter and the effects on speed, RPM and pulling power. With this I can get a quick idea of what to expect.
Mucho Thanks Mike, I needed that.
By "Making props," do you mean you make them from scratch, or modify factory made props?

Re: Thrust calculator
yes i make them from the mold.......
one thing i like about this calc is that one you take an rpm reading, you can put in the prop numbers and get a guidline of the HP the engine is putting out.
making props is half the fun.........a little known secret is that FG and CF props made with resin can be reptiched by placing them in boiling water. for my needs, i already know that a particular pitch is needed for the engines i run.
