I don't know if you realized it but Kim is Wintersportster. Here is the whole thread about the Rivets:

Thanks Dizzyman,
Yeah, that's my video, AND my pretty little Rivets trying to excavate the concrete ramp at my local airport !!! I've got no excuse whatsoever for missing a simple thing like insuring good hook-ups at the connectors, and I literally couldn't believe what I was seeing when the down line dropped away, and put Rivets into that figure "9" !!!! Just a hard lesson in the need to pay attention to the details !!!!
The cowling was shattered on impact, but the rest of the frame survived fairly well. I retrieved all of the parts, and have since bought another airframe that should be just as nice once I get time to mess with it.
The plane IS really heavy, as are most of these RTF's, but it lifted on it's own without me leading it (one of my quirky requirements) after getting up to speed, and I was settling in for a nice flight when everything suddenly went wrong!
The engine is one I cobbled together and named "Bad Boy", starting with a cool, multi-colored case, given to me by Mark Boesen, with one of Bernie's Tee Dee piston.cylinder sets and some other parts. I had a short tank on it for the Rivets flight.
I've collected and intend to fly all of the Cox RTF's that were flying in our little group way back in the 1960's, along with a Wen Mac Aracobra. As with all my stuff, weather, time, and mood dictates when things happen, but there WILL be video when it does !!!

P.S. I've always had affection for Rivets, and still consider it the Baddest of the Bad as far as the Formula Racers go. I witnessed it's last complete race at Sturgis, Kentucky, before the tragic loss of it and it's pilot Bill Falck later that year.

Thanks Andrew! I call it my "Stick-it-a-hand-drill-and-hit-it-with-a-dremel-grinding-wheel-while-everything-is-spinning" mod !
