My son Sam earlier this season. He's flying the combat now, LOL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWwEYomm-aM I hope I posted this in the right place, I did not see a forum for videos. Mike

Good deal Mike!
My son just soloed at 6yrs of age. By the time your son is 6 he should be taking trophies!
Thanks for sharing.

Re: My 4 year old"s solo
Sam comes to the field with me every Sunday. He loves control line, He launched my .35 sized airplane last week by himself. (with a grown up right next to him) he has his own field box with tools and old props that all the guys have given him. I love that he loves it so much. Hopefully we will have many years together enjoying model aviation. I'm trying to keep him away from video games as long as possible.

That is really cool. Here's the comment I posted on the Tube:
Looks like your boy's got it! Good flying, and a nice touch and go there at the end.

That's great
I love watching vids like that the up and coming modellers of the future so nice to see u and your son out in the fresh air enjoying some flying when my daughter is older i like to think that we too can do the same although it'll probably be a pink airframe totally agree about the video games it such a shame that more kids aren't out with their folks getting some quality time like this
Good for you and well done to your son if he can fly at that age imagine in a few years !!! Comps here we come u must be so proud

Re: My 4 year old"s solo
I promised the 7 year old girl next door I'd make her a Kitty Cat plane. I bought a sheet of foam board for it and drew it out. Maybe I can do it by Christmas. The paws and whiskers will have to be stubby and angled back skydiver style, and the tail will probably have to be a crepe streamer.

Rusty, the Owens-Corning pink foam board would be perfect.
Can't get girlier than that. Hello kitty.
