Check your lines!!! Or lucky break!
Against my better judgement I decided to give the LJB a whirl with the new leadout location. My BW is running well now so away I went in 10mph winds with 20mph gusts. Plane was a bit bouncy, but the BW was pulling it well. About the 8th lap a gust of wind came and pulled hard on the lines and my downline snapped. I didn't even have time to panic as the engine quit at that precise moment. The wind went up under the plane lifted it up and then set it down gently on the grass.
I really couldn't believe it. Talk about luck. So the moral is check your lines!! I am using 10# Spyderwire so it should have held so there must have been a nick in it. If I had inspected the lines this wouldn't have happened.
The good thing is the plane is no worse for wear, the bad thibg is I have no idea if it flies any better.

Re: Check your lines!!! Or lucky break!
I popped the up line on the Stuntman recently. After 5 outside loops it went boop and skidded to a stop.
Hey, at least you got to fly, we've got Thanksgiving going on over here. My only activity was painting the edges of my fire with clear fingernail polish. Fire on the nose, clearcoat, LG, engine, and fly. Maybe Sunday.

The only reason I got to fly was my family went ahead to the inlaws.
