Re: 2012 Christmas Bee Engines
Yes, last years engine had a 5cc fuel tank with a lightened piston/cylinder. Basically, they are the driving factors in the price increase since the cylinder/piston with be upgraded to the Tee Dee style one and there will be an 8cc stunt tank. We will also switch to an aluminum driveplate from the brass since the aluminum is a little lighter.
The engines should be done in a week or so, but I will mock one up in a bit and snap a picture.

Re: 2012 Christmas Bee Engines
Those are really nice. I'm glad you went with the 3 fin head clamp, I think it looks better, more proportional than the 5 fin.

Overall, I like that the 3-fin has been more consistent for us in terms of glow head shimming as well. Not to say the 5-fin isn't a good option, but I've found the shimming varies a little bit more from each 5-fin clamp ring. At least in terms of getting RPM the same.

Re: 2012 Christmas Bee Engines
Dear Matt,
Will there be un plated bare steel part in exhaust port?
If so any plan to protect that part to prevent from rust in longer time?
Wil it be possible to put brass drive plate in my #8, I think it will make the engine more colourful and match with the theme "Christmas"
thanks

They will have a thin coating of oil and this will protect from any rust that would occur. Normal maintenance with a little light oil will continue to protect.
We switched out the brass fr aluminum this year since it is lighter and wanted to do something a little bit different.
Al,
Will do, thanks.

On the 2011 ones, we have 2 remaining and they are numbers 9 & 11. There was a customer who committed to 6 of these engines if we held them for him. Needless to say he did not end up purchasing them, and we have not heard anything from him in many months.
As for the 2012 Christmas Bee engines, they should be ready tomorrow or Thursday.
Best Regards, Matt
