WTB: Green Rubber Spinner to complete my Shrike
Hello all,
I restored a Green Cox Shrike a while back and the only thing that is keeping it from being 100% complete is the little green rubber spinner. Anyone have any new one for sale or have a source? I asked Bernie but they do not have them.
Thanks,
Shawn

I believe you'll need to resort to PAINTING a Cox spinner green.
I've been a Cox fan since before you were born and I've never seen a green one available.

You see them on eBay from time to time. Just be patient, one will show up.
Re: WTB: Green Rubber Spinner to complete my Shrike
May I suggest that while you wait for a green spinner to turn up on e-bay you can watch the paint dry on one that you have painted?
Either way you'll have a green spinner. Makes sense 2 me.

Hmm, the spinner looks green to me. he he he
Also, I tried to paint one of my red ones put the paint ended up peeling off. Oh well. I may just anodize an aluminum spinner instead.

You'll kindy note that I did NOT say green Cox spinners didn't exist but that I had never seen one available.
Sure a green spinner is shown in the picture but it's not in your hand either.
Good luck finding one.

Any way how you can take the spring catch off and take a couple pics of it with dimensions? I ended up picking up a Shrike almost identical to yours.sdjjadk wrote:Yes I have both the spring and the little aluminum spring catch.WingingIt74 wrote:Did you get the starter cam too?
