Rep points
Guys,
Make sure when you hit the +/- buttons you are doing it correctly. I just lost some rep points again. I assume that was the problem, if I actually offended someone then be my friend and let me know so I can correct the issue.

Re: Rep points
I saw that had happened to somebody the other day, I forget who but it was obviously a mistake, so I gave them a greenie to make up for it. I think it happens by accident or new members don't realize what the + and - do.

Yeah Rusty, I think folks are using it as a zoom feature. Not at all upset mind you, just want to make sure folks know what the buttons are for.

Re: Rep points
I just checked my statisctic and found that I had given a negative vote. Since I do not recall ever doing this I probably owe someone an apology. I just got a new computer at work and between its super sensative keyboard and my dumb thumbs it's wonder I can even type sometimes.

Maybe Kim! To be honest I don't look everyday, but for some reason numbers stick in my head so I do notice when it changes.

Re: Rep points
So, if someones likes your post they hit '+' and vertical line on far right will turn green and if for some reason they don't they'll hit '-' and it will become red, but there is no way to track negitive points is there, other then your points count will drop?
Re: Rep points
They take you directly to the top or bottom of the page.cribbs74 wrote:lousyflyer wrote:Below the plus and minus at the far right bottom of the box the is an up and down chevron looking pair. What do they do?

Re: Rep points
Just checked my "satistics" for the fist time.
Although I've encountered some negative and combative posters, overall I've been been well received with lots of "thanks" an "reputation" points. I am truely gratifed by the recognition but I must say that CECF is one of the most enjoyable aspects of my life. It has become an pleasant addiction.
A sincere "thank you" to my friends here. My "foes" are out there but that bothers me not. My "signature" (below) well describes me and I accept the "risks" as being part of a forum.

Re:Rep Points
Please excuse my total ignorance for asking how the rep points system works and how would I check on my rep points?
I've looked at the Forum header topics and apparently I'm too dense to discover how it all works.
Just trying to be a good forum citizen and never say more than I know...Steve

Go to the Memberlist heading (above) and click on your avatar. Once it appears hit the "Statistics" tab and your reputation points and other information will appear.

Re: Rep points
Just a moderator note; To the general member population, we ask that you use reps sparingly and consider each one so as not to dilute their meaning. Thanks...handing this stuff out like candy!

Re: Rep points
No purpose in getting "surupy" about awarding points.
Awarding too many like like flooding your pancakes with too much surup.
