We are looking for regular contributors to our upcoming magazine
We are looking for contributors for our magazine
Our plans are to issue an eMagazine every 3 months. Such will be sent to our “newsletter” subscribers for both stores (aprx 1,000) as well as be available for download via a link on our website and this forum. We are looking at the following sections:
Regular features:
Kit review
Engine review
Accessory review
Tuning/Performance enhancements
Story from bygone days - Nostalgia
Funny or memorable story whilst using a Cox product
(And whatever else our contributors come up with)
Add in’s when available:
Customer picture submissions (projects, engines, etc)
Free ads for non-commercial use
Paid ads
Humour (or humor South of the border)
(And whatever else our contributors come up with)
Our contribution:
What is new in the world of Cox (our store)
If anyone is interested in being a 4x per year contributor for the “Regular features” please let us know this at support@coxinternational.ca
For the add in’s simply email us your contribution(s) to same address above.
It would be nice to get the first edition out by the end of the month.

Hi bernie,
If you'd like I'd be willing to try & be a regular contributor...
My specialty is peformance/tuning...but can do other things as well
( like teaching an adult to fly C/L) using a Cox coroplast model...
Cheers,
Paul pgibeault@shaw.ca

Paul,
You are now in charge of creating a performance/tuning artivle every 3 months
Could we get one by October 29 in an editable format (like MS Word)? If the timeframe is tight we could always start with your "Venom Clone" one which we already have.
Re: We are looking for regular contributors to our upcoming magazine
Anyone wanting to do a one-time contribution for the issue at the end of the month please send 'er over. Pics of projects, kits, engines. Homour, story, advice, anything
Re: We are looking for regular contributors to our upcoming magazine
I'll get a story to you. I don't know how long I can come up with good material, but I can come up with at least one or maybe two. I'll have it for you in a couple of days.

Grateful for anything that we can get

I would share my "How To's" on making reeds out of floppy disks and venturi gaskets out of fuel tubing but I can see that not helping you sales any! LOL
However, I don't know how many more "How To's" I can write on making cox engine parts out of crap around your house. LOL

It's not only about helping us but also about helping fellow modellers. So please do share.

Re: We are looking for regular contributors to our upcoming magazine
Hi Bernie,
I have some other ideas for the mag. Maybe video section, a tether car section and a restoration section?
I have a couple videos of my Shrike and my Buick Riviera running I can send you the links and I plan on running some of my other cars soon such as one of my Cox Funny Cars and I'm also restoring a Cox Ford GT as well as scratch building tether cars.
Let me know what you think,
Shawn

Shawn,
Any contributions are welcome and please send what you like and, once we have enough material for our first issue, will publish one. Video section is perfectly fine

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we plan to release our first issue next Tuesday but, at this point, don't have a enough contributions to do so.
If you have anything that you would like to contribute (see text in opening post) please send to us before coming Monday.
Thanks in advance.
