Iphone Danger Will Robinson.......
Just a quick few lines about ios6 Guys.
If you have an Iphone you'll know what a cracking piece of kit it is.
However the new operating system IOS6 is awful and once it is downloaded to your
Apple device you're stuck with it so take my word for it and do NOT be tempted to download it.
BUT
If you already have and now your mapping apps, Utube etc don't work correctly all is not lost
if you are VERY quick.
As long as the phone/ipad is still within warranty, give Apple a call, tell them you want to have
the phone replaced for an 'old stock' IOS5 phone they will be happy to check your local stores,
locate an IOS5 device and make an appointment to swap the phones over.
You have to be be fast cos they haven't got many left cos there where a lot of bods behind
me queueing for their swapsie too....

I upgraded mine, I like it better. Youtube can be downloaded as an app.
Re: Iphone Danger Will Robinson.......
The map doesn't so nor do any other map using apps.

The map doesn't what?
Re: Iphone Danger Will Robinson.......
Doesn't Work correctly, cities + towns are missing or in the wrong place roads are incorrectly named.
Finally where with google map you can 'pinch' the screen to get a panoramic view of an area or
buildings in real time, it doesn't work with ios6 even if you go on google maps via Safari.
This means all the flight monitoring apps we use at work don't work correctly cos they all get
pushed into Apple maps instead of google where they do work.
I've just put the phone down on Karen who is in Athens and credit to the Apple organisation.
I've been on and off the phone to her 4 times over the last 24 hours and as I said
in earlier post this is pretty much all her and her colleagues have been doing in the last 10 days.
If you're happy with it Travis stick with it but I think the ios5 phones will be worth a premium
in the future.
My new phone is now back to it's former glory with apps working photos etc restored, my guys
are all currently in the various Apple stores around London swapping theirs.
Obviously Apple wouldn't be allowing the swap if they thought there wasn't a problem.
