Any interest in starting a "Plane of the Month"
Happydad and I were wondering if there'd be any interest is starting up a "Plane of the Month" contest?

I could enter once or twice, with my not-as-ugly as the rest planes, but I'm seriously out classed around here. And I don't build often. So, I guess I'm saying, I'd plink at it a couple of months.

I have a plethora of Cox powered CL planes. I only have one Cox powered RC Plane and it is not a real looker. It is a trainer. Has an RC Bee and a 5x4.

Re: Any interest in starting a "Plane of the Month"
Maybe we could just do a 'Photo of the Month' which could be a clear, sharp photo of a Cox engine or plane, balsa, plastic, U/C or R/C?
Re: Any interest in starting a "Plane of the Month"
How about a video of the month? Post videos of running engines on planes, test stands, or in your hands. Now who hasen't run a TD 010 while holding it in your hand?

all: actually i was going to suggest the photo route. but some members may be limited in their camera capabilities so there will need to be guidelines and limits. a 1.2MP photo could not compare to a 24MP photo from some of the new cameras.
my intent in suggesting the idea of a plane of the month was to show off great planes, not great photographers of great planes. maybe a split percentage for content, sharpness of photo, etc.

I like this idea as well. Some interesting and rare engines in this fine group of folks.
Jason, I ran a .010 in my hand just the other day as I was too lazy to bolt it down!

oh boy!
Who wants to help manage all this! I would be up for it if some of the mods or maybe even some members wouldn't mind helping out!
