Besides the Triumph I have this project lingering in the background. As a kid growing up in Canada there was a lot of Brit iron on the road. There still is I suppose but, mostly fair weather nowadays.

Anyway I went through a slew of MG midgets and a couple B's in my teens and 20's I always longed for an MGA as I see them as a true sports car. Even though they are slow as molasses lol!

Anyway, my wife picked this up for me as a gift once I retire from the military. Just thought I would share as I finally got a shop big enough to store it in.

One of my mechanics teachers in college had a Austin Healey Sprite MK IV,,,with a 400 inch small block chevy in it and a rock crusher 4 speed. He lived out the same direction I did and we became pretty good friends. A little 500 CFM 2 barrel carb and that light chassis would stoplight anything on the street. Had pull cable exhaust dumps under the seat, quiet and and unsuspecting as a church mouse until those were opened. Fuel injected corvettes and the like would pull up and snicker,,that is until they were many car lengths behind instantly. At the next light they would have a somber look on there face.

looks like a great project Ron, good luck on the completion.

Electrical wiring by Lucas, Prince of darkness. lol!

Had lots of friends with british cars and cycles, all with Lucas wiring. Whenever you had an electrical problem, just go bounce across the railroad tracks a few times and that would make them OK for a day or two.

Great project! You'll have to keep us posted! I check on Craigslist every so often for a project car, haven't found anything that I had to have yet.

Thanks guys,

Yeah, much like Volkswagons bugs a Little British Car has touched just about everyone some time or another.

It may be a while before I get to this thing. I am having way too much fun making up for lost time with these Cox engines.
