I love watching those pilots. I keep "Flying Wild Alaska" programmed to record on my DVR. There is another Alaska flying show that is a little more plane centric, rather than being about Jim Tweto's family airline.

I've seen "Flying Wild Alaska" a few times, and Ariel Tweto's giggle makes me crazy. Embarassed

Ariel is a cutie alright. She soloed in the season finale. She had to crab in on her landing when a sudden crosswind blew up during her flight. She done good.

Love the Flying Wild Alaska series that was even watchable thru some of the sappy scenes.Thought about getting a Herr 182 kit just to mimick some of Jim Tweto's trick sandbar and glacier landings and takeoffs. Those guys and gal flyers have got some serious.. huh.. guts.
There was a show called "Bush Pilot" probably on Discovery Channel, I think, about 10 years ago that got into bush flying and float flying in a big way. Some later episodes covered bush flying about 20% of the show and hunting and fishing 80% which was pretty cool to watch too.....Some Day !!!!!
