Old War Bird

Old War Bird
Can anyone recognize this beast? It has a Testors McCoy .049 on it. The whole plane is plastic. I plane on rebuilding the entire tail section. I will fly it once that is done.
Does the fuel line plug into here?
It only has one hole for a line guide. Do both line go through here or just one and the other does not use one?

A well-battered SNJ/Texan T-6 ! Looks like it's got enough wing to fly well. Do a video!

I definitely will! It may be a few days. I ran the McCoy. It runs good but smells awful. There is a mixture of dust an oil boiling on the cooling fins! I already almost have the tail finished.

Godsey:
The fact that it shows Navy of the fuse should give you a clue that is an SNJ.
Texan's were flown by the US Army.
The Air force wasn't created until after the end of WWII. 1947 to be exact.

Re: Old War Bird
I think it will be pretty when you fix it up.
Both lines do go through the same hole. I bet it's right on the C/G. I've seen other planes built like that, not an RTF though. It looks like the front end would accommodate a Tee Dee .049 pretty well. That would add a good boost of fun to the heavy plastic airframe.

Re: Old War Bird
What length of line should I fly this on? Also, what will this plane be capable of doing?
