I assumed he was someone associated with Aurora that provided the demonstration for Mechanix Illustrated ! Now, all I have to do is find the April 1960 issue...THEN we'll know !!!!

Who flies control line on the side of a 45deg hill? or is it just that his eyesight is as bad as his dress sense? (Mind you, I have trousers like his!)

I have overalls like that too, except I usually wear them when I am underneath my pickup..........

Perhaps that was Aurora's marketing strategy. The average blue collar guy buying a cheap CL to fly after he get's off shift. Or in this case after work and after the bar which is why he chose a gravel pit as a suitable flying site.

With it STARTING at $250, it's too nice for me !!!! I could never reenact the "Gravel Pit Scene" with a clear conscience!!!! Guess I'll have to keep looking, along with trips to Good Will to assemble my ensemble !
