No one could ever accuse me of that! When I open my mouth and speak it's a dead give away.
Oklahoma is not where I would choose to live but, it puts me in line for an FAA or Gov job when I retire in two years.

It's a good tune Dave, I do like classic country even though I never even heard it growing up. Johnny Cash is by far my favorite old country singer/story teller.

Re: Genealogy Humor (was in Cox Conquest .15)
Ron,
What would you do for the FAA? My degree was set up by the FAA. I was told, along with three of my friends, that if we went through this program we would be immediately hired by the FAA as Genaral Aviation Operations Safety Inspectors. When we graduated and took our degrees and "special certificates" to the Feds to be redeemed for employment and all we got was a bunch of blank stares and "huh, new on on me" type of comments. Little did I know that would be the high point of my dealings with the FAA. If you go there I hope you go to a different FAA than the one I had to deal with. I've only met a few FAA employees that were worth little more than the effort it took to walk away from them.
Good luck if you take that path,
Bob

That was a joke... They even made a stop at a fast food place before he went to prison, LOL.

Ronald Douglas Melville Cribbs.
Melville is Scottish, yes I have a tartan too.
Douglas is Scottish as well I believe, the rest is English, Supposedly Cribbs stems from Cribb and I am a distant relative to Tom Cribb the English Bare knuckle fighter of old. I highly doubt it. Probably a family tall tale to hide the fact we actually stem from stable hands.......
Although who cares!!!!!
As someone who drives past the Tom Cribb in Panton Street a couple times a week I did wonder about your Forebears Ron.
Checkout GMF's 'Black Ajax' if you can find it in the States. a cracking read featuring your Great Great Great Great Great
GrandPappy.
The rest of you History Buffs check out GMF's 'Flashman and the Angel of the Lord' then 'Flashman and the Redskins' for a 'slightly' non PC version of Harpers Ferry and the Big Horn VERY FUNNY reading.
BTW
Goddard from the Low German for Rocket Scientist....

Will do John!
The Tom Cribb is a pub right?
My Dad sent me a pic of it a while back. He was very excited about it.

Cribbs, I accidentally gave you a negative red rep. I just had a mouse misfire. Sorry. That's probably how I got that one the other day.

Admin-Moderators:
Just curious.
Is it possible to award oneself "plus" ratings?
Mine have come from other people and I take them as a compliment.
Further it it possible to give multiple "negatives" to the same person for the same post?
Both would be pretty "slimy" IMO. We're all not going to agree but "stacking the deck" should be prohibited by forum "General Rules".
