Hurricane Milton
The only CEF member that I know of that might be affected is Crankbndr. But he is on the East coast and perhaps out of danger being a little higher up on the peninsular. I hope so, Milton was something else spawning tornados, flooding, and hurricane force winds thoughout central Florida.
I lived most of my adult life in Florida beginning in 1956 when I was 18. Two Navy tours in Pensacola and Jacksonville. Retired to Central Florida in 1993. My Mom and Dad and brother retired there as did cousins and in-laws.
I just watched CNN's coverage of the aftermath. Streets that my wife and I walked are under four feet of water, restaruants and shopping centers devistated. The roof of Tropicana Field ripped off. Clearwater Beach where we vacationed hardest hit. So sad to see.

Re: Hurricane Milton
Not much weather in Homestead but I did panic and buy two generators and 150' of 10 gauge cord in various lengths and numerous other items on 10/2 so had my eye on it early. Joe Bastardi can forecast out 10 days and I follow him. One member Fit90 is in Naples I believe.
My future in-laws live in Ft Myers on the Caloosahatchee river with gulf access. Been flooded 4 time in two years, 5 time total. The last 4 without insurance. This one was the worst, probably up to the roof.
My Son brought Brittany (future wife) here Tue. with everything she owned in our Chrysler. Sad
They arrived back in Ft Myers a few hours ago.
My new gen set cause I can't lift the heavy ones anymore.

Re: Hurricane Milton
Yeah, Homestead, gateway to the Keys. Milton passed well North of you. Glad that you're Ok. Neat Generators.
