Attic find
Hello everyone I’m glad I found this forum I live in the house my father in law grew up in was told feel free to go through all the old stuff in the attic. I was going through some old toys and came across this I can’t really find much info online. I will probably end up selling it while pretty cool I’d rather it end up in the hand of someone who will appreciate it would be nice to have some back story on this fella and maybe a place to start price wise. If this isn’t the place for this post or I broke a rule feel free to move or delete this post.
Thanks in advance

Re: Attic find
Yes THIS is the place to post your find. Value? $200-$500 would be my guess particularly in this unspoiled condition.

Re: Attic find
Impressive, it still has the in-box large cardboard locator usually the first thing to get tossed out. And, it looks like the two real engines model, not one and a fake.
You could put it on ebay where collectors would go wild, I'm guessing between $1000 and $1500 if the right people are looking. But, then you have to pack it and ship it, a hassle. Something like that would have to be packed securely, double triple/boxed maybe. You would have one angry customer if it arrived damaged.
You could sell locally, but you would never realize it's full monetary potential. It is a collectible, no longer a toy which for some is a down-side. It just sits, does nothing except collect dust never fulfilling it's true reason for being. It's value is in posessing.
Good luck with it, I hope that it finds a home that appreciates it for what it is.

Re: Attic find
to the forum, @Travis87!
Wow! That is an extremely clean NOS Wen-Mac P-38, complete down to the dipole long wire radio aerial antenna and as Bob mentioned, the cardboard product retainer and even authentication certificate.

This model would be perfect if you want to fly 1/2A Stunt and 1/2A Combat at the AMA Nats with the same plane...!
