Storage boxes for cox engines and parts
Hello
I have been buying this storage boxes for my Cox engines and parts at ACE hardware. They keep the engines dust free and makes it easier to locate engines and parts just looking thru the top. The way plastic is made biodegradable now days I don`t know how long they would last but I just hope they last longer than me.

Re: Storage boxes for cox engines and parts
There are claims of biodegradability, but I don't know how true this is, or if true, how long the plastic will last. Ace Hardware is a Filipino owned company. In the past I've enjoyed purchasing from them, because they had quality products that were reasonably priced. The big block stores are now dominating, but I notice that brands come and go, which concerns me about repairability over time.
The products are purchased from various suppliers, who then put Ace labels on them, which is fine, a practice done all over the place.
But, I'd be unhappy because it is "biodegradable", that 10 years from now, the plastic age degrades and must be replaced. Also wouldn't be happy if the oils in the plastic mar the item being stored.
Nonetheless, looks like you found a good way to store and catalogue your items. I've done similar, but with a Harbor Freight product, and before with a fishing tackle brand name.
