WHERE ARE YOU BUYING YOUR FUEL AND GLOW PLUGS...?
Where are you buying your 1/4 -32 size glow plugs for .10 and larger engines...?
How about your fuel...?
I was recently looking around and found A MAIN HOBBIES but I've never done business with them before.

Re: WHERE ARE YOU BUYING YOUR FUEL AND GLOW PLUGS...?
Over the past few years, it was quickly obvious that plugs were going to the wayside. I was fortunate to purchase a few hundred from a Helicopter supplier. He's now retired and the business was never picked up. Mike Goes Flying.com was the only source for Thunderbolt plugs which we were buying by the card full. Due to the rising cost of materials, Mike said he would no longer produce them. He's importing foreign plugs and I know a few who have been using them with success. You can source even cheap plugs which are typically hot to medium even on Amazon. These are typically r/c car plugs but I've done experimenting with them and they've been working successfully. They can range from very cheap to as much as good quality plugs. I believe the filament is made of Chinesium and there's a abundance on the planet.

Re: WHERE ARE YOU BUYING YOUR FUEL AND GLOW PLUGS...?
Thanks for the bad news Ken...!!
I've got a good number of Nelson plugs and thanks to Kamtech enough Nelson plug adapters to keep my 1/2A engines running for years.
My Cyclon .061 and Zalp .15 are surprisingly very easy on plugs too.
The mass of the Nelson plug must have something to do with that...?
Well it sure does pay dividends as a runner of these engines to use the lowest compression, lowest prop load and the least nitro that will get the job done.
Those aren't just my words...they were taught to me by Henry Nelson and Dave Shadel.
Otherwise keep guys like Nelson and Shadel on "speed dial".
I've got some nitro due to arrive from Ritchie's Brew....so that little errand is taken care of.
What I need to explore now is the possibility of converting more of my favorite engines to using the Nelson glow plug.
I'd rather go "all in" with Nelson glow plugs than spend a King's Ransom" on standard Chinese 1/4-32 plugs.

Re: WHERE ARE YOU BUYING YOUR FUEL AND GLOW PLUGS...?
Henry stopped making Nelson plugs. Now they're made in Italy. Bob Mears from Texas sells them on EBAY. You can also contact Bob direct if you frequent the MACA page or Facebook. MBS Model Supply also carries the Nelson style plugs but these are sourced from Bob as well. I've heard nothing but positive comments in regards to the Italian style Nelson plug.
Your not going to purchase a better fuel then Ritch's Brew. I just wished that Randy would answer his e-mails.
