Texaco Prop Spacer

Re: Texaco Prop Spacer
I was told to use a piece of fuel tubing to stuff into the hub hole of the prop.
It works good, makes the screw hard to push through though.
If your kid has a meccano set (erector) the little plastic bushings are a really close fit and with a little sanding should work well.

Re: Texaco Prop Spacer
Bernie just told me about the spacers, didn't know about them. I was wondering if fuel tubing would work

Fuel tubing works just great!WingingIt74 wrote:Bernie just told me about the spacers, didn't know about them. I was wondering if fuel tubing would work
Re: Texaco Prop Spacer
Just cut it short enough so the screw head doesn't smush it before it bites the prop hub. It just centers the prop until the screw locks it down.

Re:Texaco Prop Spacer
Microflight,
Actually Cox did address the prop spacer issue for Texaco engines because new ones came with Cox part # 4506400 to fit the recommended 7X3.5 prop. They look to be very easy to lose and they are very hard to find anywhere now.
However, the Thunder Tiger GP-07 comes with a small plastic bag with several different size metal spacers, so that could be your answer. Personally, If I didn't have the metal spacers,I would go the easy way and use fuel tubing and be done with it...FWIW..Steve
