Are you prepared in case of an EMERGENCY Or Tornado ECT
Being 25 I didn't think of this stuff. I'm on the 3`rd floor. I realized I had no emergency kit so I bought one $20 for the first aid box 90% full (I got lucky) but Look what i filled it with

Sucks being on the third floor I would imagine. Usually they peel the roof off along with other layers and take everything for a hell ride around the neiborhood.
But. something is better than nothing as far as that is concerned, and I feel very fortunate to not live in Tornado alley.
Condolences to the midwest.

Sniffle.... I think I'd have bigger fish to fry. Its mostly a survival/first aid shortage flood kit/take traveling than a tornado kit.
Good to have emergency supplies flashlight jumper cables electromic air pumper in a car and in the safest place in the house IMO. there are various disaster prep guide on the net I don;t claim to be an expert. I also don;t look forward to having to eat that cat food. I put it in there when i made it cuz I couldn`t find the spam and have not switched it yet

My personal credo is "The Seven Cardinal P's"
to wit:
Proper Pior Planning Prevents Pee Poor Performance
The P's, along with good luck, have been responsible for my advancing years.

Re: Are you prepared in case of an EMERGENCY Or Tornado ECT
Well, I am "somewhat" prepared for a tornado. I have my first aid kits downstairs in the basement and that is where the can goods are stored as well. There are also bottles of water and so on. All the pills for the grandparents are in one place and can be grabbed right away. I have 2 generators and have recently wired up some outlets in the house that can be hooked up to the 6250 watt generator or my 1000 watt 2 stroke generator. The 6250 watt generator sits outside next to the house in the fenced backyard and covered with large plastic bag. The 1000 watt 2 stroke is started and ran for about 5 minutes once a week and sits inside the garage all the time with a gallon can of mixed 50:1. I have battery radios all over the place so never any problem there. I also have a few old 70s-80s black and white 5" battery TVs that thanks to our government for selling the analog airwaves, they won't work without a damn converter box. I also have some old corded rotary phones that can be connected straight to the line without a plug-in transformer to power a wireless transceiver and caller ID. I also have a old 90s caller ID box that I have made work on a 9 volt battery and have used during a power outage but I have no idea where it is right now. I also have a old cassette answering machine that I can power up with a battery box that contains several 9 volt batteries, again I have no idea where that is but have used it in a power outage before.

Oh, something constructive, like, run around shouting "We're all doomed!"
Seriously though....
Fortunately we don't have to worry about things like tornadoes here, and when I see reports on the TV, like those earlier this week, I am profoundly grateful for that fact!
