Re: The World-Wide Ringmaster Fly-a-Thon---Oct. 1st & 2nd
Thanks for clarifying, Ken, glad to see Pat King stepped up to fill the gap. I can only speculate why Sterling did not come out with a standard .35 flash, but then, they already had enough full fuselage Ringmasters, may be felt they would not garner the sales. I gather the Flash Jr. was on the only full fuselage .15 Ringmaster. They also departed from the standard, elliptical rudder and stabilizer with this tapered, squared tip one.Ken Cook wrote:Sterling never made a Flash .40. Pat King did a rendition of the .40 size Flash. I happen to have one and it didn't come with a canopy which may explain the odd one. I do have the correct canopy. For as long as I can remember back it never rained on Ring day here. Rain scheduled for both today and tomorrow. My flying partner just re did his Ring with a older 4 stroke which seems to be doing real well and one of the other guys had a Wankel on his which was heavy but it sure sounded cool.
Would have liked to have participated, but had already enough irons in the fire already (emergency kitchen repair - 19 y.o. garbage disposer blew a seal and started leaking).

Sadly this is the first year of the past 6 or 7 or ehenever this started that I haven’t made it to the field. Work has been keeping me away from home a lot lately. I might could do the makeup weekend. Good work Kim!

I've participated in this since it's introduction. It's rained here miserably for the past 4 days. There's been little to no break in the rain as it's a super soaker.
