[solved]Fully Loaded IL-76 Takeoff at Canberra Airport
Fully loaded IL-76 taking off from Canberra Australia airport which is used by military and civilian aircraft and is surrounded by very steep and high hills close to the runway. The footage was taken from the Control Tower and the Audio is from the control tower blokes. Turn the volume up loud so as that you can hear all their comments as it takes off. Hopefully the Oz humour comes across allright.

Take off of the Antonov
That vid is of an Il-76.
I had to fly in and out of Dayton, Ohio 4 or 5 times a year for work for years and one day going into catch my flight back home I see this giant AN-225 "Dream" parked.
That thing was massive with 6 giant turbo fan engines , forked tail, and what looked like about 30 wheels in the landing gear.
A local said that it came in about once a month over the North Pole loaded surplus Russian weapons for a company near Dayton.
First thought was due to it's size each Dream must it's own oil refinery.
I understand only 2 or 3 were completed before the old Soviet Union went bankrupt and maybe only one is now flying.
I'm probably wrong and would love to be updated if anyone knows..

Sorry!! My Mistake! It is in fact as Steve rightly pointed out an IL-76. Its still a pretty cool takeoff. And those hills, not exactly mountains are very steep and very close

Those are amazing, popular and still in use.

The Smithsonian channel just showed an episode of one of these landing in Alaska. Another one just landed in Afghanistan a couple of days ago. Not sure why.
