AMA says Uni Knot...exclusively
Ok guys, I did a really fast search here first, and posed this one on SH where I didn't get a definitive answer. The AMA manual says use the Uni knot. SH is filled with veteran natuinal-level (and higher) contestants. They whole-heartedly supported the AMA recommendation.
We experiment more at the grass-roots over here.
First, which knot do you use for your braided synthetic lines, Uni or Palomar?
Second, what is the weight size of the heaviest model you flew with that knot?
I ask because I CAN control where the "clinch-down" occurs when I tie the Palomar. However, I cannot do the same with the Uni. My hope is that the Palomar IS ok with a .35-powered ship.
Thanks in advance!

Re: AMA says Uni Knot...exclusively
A quick phone call to Fred resolved my conundrum. Off to the field using a Palomar knot!
